  Alicante ~ Elche

  Mar Menor
San Pedro may be how we imagine a typical Spanish town to be. There are excellent restaurants serving locally caught seafood and where you can soak up the atmosphere of the real Spain. The beach is wonderful and each Monday the town bustles with activity from the local market.

The Mar Menor is a shallow lagoon with clear blue water which is always warm and perfect for swimming all year round. It's high mineral content makes it an excellent breeding ground for shellfish and the healing properties of near-by mud baths attracts many visitors. This inland sea contains numerous marinas and boat clubs making it an ideal location for all water sports.
